Another Brawl: Fistfight and Gunshots Among Samvel Babayan's Allies
According to the newspaper "Hraparak", another brawl has occurred among the allies of Samvel Babayan, the former Secretary of the Artsakh Security Council and ex-commander of the Defense Army, which was accompanied by fistfights and gunshots. The incident took place on the evening of May 28, when one of Babayan's allies decided to settle scores with the former Minister of Territorial Administration and Babayan supporter, Hayk Khanoonyan, who, according to our sources, expressed disrespect towards one of their teammates, saying, 'Is this scoundrel also from our team?' The latter then sought to demand respect.
The two sides, along with their supporters, created a scene near the police building in the center of Stepanakert. The Artsakh Prosecutor’s Office has opened a case and issued a statement that the participants of the dispute “openly violated public order and generally accepted norms of behavior, expressing blatant disrespect towards society, thereby disrupting the normal activities of emergency service personnel from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Artsakh, deliberately and grossly violating public order by uttering loud insults and inflicting blows, and engaging in violence against each other” while A. A. fired shots in the air from a registered "CZP-10M" pistol.
According to our sources, there have been arrests. The previous altercation among Babayan's allies also ended with MP Seyran Hayrapetyan being stabbed. Disputes and brawls are quite common among Babayan’s circle, especially after public rallies.
