Spring Agricultural Campaign Conducted Under Unspeakably Difficult Conditions, Says Artsakh Minister

This year’s spring agricultural campaign has been carried out under unspeakably difficult conditions. Nonetheless, despite some breaches of agricultural timelines, it has been possible to implement the planned key volumes. This was stated by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Artsakh, Georgi Hayriyan, in an interview with Artsakhpress.

“The priorities were determined by the circumstances of the blockade, during which the most demanded agricultural products were identified. Their cultivation has been encouraged by a corresponding support program,” said the minister.

According to the head of the department, the challenges in the implementation of agricultural work were related to the blockade, particularly the partial or delayed supplies of seeds, fertilizers, plant treatment products, building materials necessary for greenhouse construction, as well as animal feed and fuel, which has negatively impacted all branches of the agricultural sector.
