Video: Flooding Near the Upper Lars Checkpoint

The situation near the Upper Lars checkpoint is quite tense due to the flooding season. This was reported by the head of North Ossetia, Sergey Menyailo.

"Specialists are currently trying to prevent flooding on the highway. Preventive measures are being implemented; we are erecting barriers along the shore to keep the water away as much as possible," he wrote.

The route through Upper Lars is the only land connection between Armenia and Russia, passing through Georgia.
