VIDEO: Bleachers Collapse During Children's Football Match in Rostov-on-Don, Casualties Reported

The number of casualties from the collapse of the bleachers in Rostov-on-Don has reached 26, including 15 minors. This information was reported by ТАСС, referencing local authorities.

According to SHOT, one injured child is currently undergoing surgery at the 20th City Hospital, and one fatality has been confirmed. The incident occurred during a children's football competition between the teams 'Rostov' and 'Bataysk'. The stadium is located within the grounds of school No. 5 in the Olympic reserve.

Approximately 30 people were present at the scene. Assistance has been promised to the victims and their families.

City administration head Alexei Logvinenko has issued relevant instructions to his deputies. He stated that the bleachers overturned due to strong winds. Reports indicate that prior to the incident, a storm warning had been issued for the Rostov region.

Investigators have examined the location, and a decision has been made to initiate a criminal case.
