VIDEO: The Nubarashen Garbage Dump Continues to Burn

The fire that broke out recently at the Nubarashen garbage dump continues to burn.

Earlier today, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that as of 10:30 AM, there were still smoldering hotspots. Around 1000 cubic meters of waste is burning over an area of 5 hectares with various flare-ups.

“At the construction waste site, construction debris is burning over an area of approximately 1000 square meters, which is currently contained,” stated the Ministry's announcement.

On May 18, information was relayed to the National Crisis Management Center regarding the outbreak of a fire at the garbage dump in the Nubarashen administrative district of Yerevan.
