Saakashvili: The Collapse of Russia Will Begin in the North Caucasus
The former president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, who is currently imprisoned, predicts the collapse of Russia in a written interview for the opposition TV channel "Formula"'s program "Droeba."
“Ukraine will inevitably reach a breaking point. The West has decided to put an end to Putin's regime; Russia will begin to collapse from simple multipliers, starting first in the North Caucasus... Everyone who is currently blinded by Russia's dirty money or political ambitions, who holds hopes tied to Putin's Russia, is making a very serious mistake and will ultimately face complete defeat,” Saakashvili stated.
According to him, the collapse of Russia will provide Georgia with a chance to regain Abkhazia. On the other hand, the events in the North Caucasus may pose a danger reminiscent of the “Leqianoba” phenomenon, referring to the mountain raids of the past centuries.
“The only salvation lies in the European Union and Ukraine,” Saakashvili added.
