Former Head of Serzh Sargsyan's Bodyguard Wachagan Ghazaryan has been arrested, as reported by Armlur.am. The details surrounding the case leading to his arrest have not yet been disclosed.

Wachagan Ghazaryan was previously detained five years ago on June 25, 2018, while leaving a bank. At that time, authorities found $120,000 and 436 million drams in his suitcase. Over the past few years, he has been released on bail multiple times only to be re-arrested.

Ghazaryan is accused of illegal enrichment, having concealed the actual size of his financial assets in the declarations submitted to the Ethics Commission of the high-ranking officials of Armenia.
