Azerbaijan Erases Memorial to Great Patriotic War Victims, Says Alen Simonyan

Azerbaijan has erased the memorial dedicated to the victims of the Great Patriotic War in the occupied town of Berdzor. This was reported by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, on his Twitter page, commenting on the demolition of the memorial.

“It is interesting to see whether there will be a response to the demolition of the victims' memorial, will there be reports, or will we be satisfied with the usual calls for restraint from the parties involved? Double standards... and then with a surprised face, ‘what, where did this happen,’” wrote the Assembly speaker.

Earlier, it became known that Azerbaijanis had leveled to the ground the memorial complex commemorating the victims of the war in Berdzor.
