Zelensky Proposes 50-Year Sanctions Against Iran
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has proposed imposing sanctions on Iran for a period of 50 years. This was stated in a draft resolution presented by him to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, according to RIA Novosti.
The document suggests a complete ban on trade operations with the country, cessation of transit of resources, flights, and transportation within Ukrainian territory, and prevention of capital withdrawal from the post-Soviet republic by Iranians. It also proposes a ban on any investments in the Islamic Republic and on the transfer of rights to technologies and intellectual property rights by residents.
