Another Earthquake Hits Turkey

An earthquake of magnitude 4.6 has occurred in central Turkey. This has been reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.

According to the report, the epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 8 km. The tremors were felt about 52 km northwest of Gaziantep, a city with a population of approximately 1,065,000, and around 24 km southeast of Kahramanmaraş, which has a population of about 376,000.

It is worth noting that in Kahramanmaraş and the surrounding areas, nearly 51,000 people lost their lives due to the earthquake on February 6. More than 107,000 residents sustained injuries of varying degrees. Approximately 345,000 buildings were destroyed, and nearly 4 million structures were damaged. In neighboring Syria, at least 8,476 fatalities were reported, with over 14,500 residents injured as a result of that earthquake.
