US Supports Negotiations Between Armenia and Azerbaijan: State Department Spokesperson
The United States supports negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, regardless of where they take place. This was stated by State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller, commenting on the trilateral meeting scheduled for tomorrow in Moscow.
“We support these negotiations, whether they are in Washington, as they were last month, in Brussels, as they were a few weeks ago, or anywhere else in the world,” Miller said during a briefing.
He emphasized that it is important for the parties to continue dialogue around resolution, and that Washington will maintain direct contact with them.
It is noteworthy that a meeting is planned in Moscow on May 25, involving Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev.
