Shooting Incident in Gyumri Involving Members of the CPP
A remarkable incident has occurred in Gyumri involving members of the ruling Civil Contract Party (CPP). CPP-affiliated businessman Martin Toroyan, who owns a shop and lavash production facility on Tigran Metz Street, is suspected of having shot 50-year-old craftsman H.M. while renovating his house, allegedly with the participation of close associates, including CPP member of the Gyumri Council Yervand Khanamiryans and two others.
Martin Toroyan suspected the craftsman of stealing construction materials, according to Aravot.am, which cited its sources. The injured craftsman sought medical assistance at the Gyumri Medical Center, attempting to conceal the reality of his situation.
Armen Khachatryan, deputy director of the Gyumri Medical Center, reported to Aravot.am that H.M. arrived at the facility complaining of severe abdominal pain. He claimed to have an inflammation of the abdominal wall fascia. After examining him, doctors immediately took him for surgery, where they discovered gunshot wounds to his intestines. A bullet was found and removed from his intestines. His condition is reported as moderate.
