Azerbaijan Supports Signing Peace Agreement with Armenia: Aliyev
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev discussed the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace negotiations during a meeting in Baku with the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE, Margareta Söderfeldt. Aliyev stated, “Azerbaijan supports the signing of a peace agreement with Armenia, based on the five principles presented by Baku.”
According to the statement, the five main principles of the peace agreement previously submitted by Baku to Yerevan include mutual recognition of territorial integrity by both countries, reciprocal renunciation of any territorial claims, non-use of force or threat of force, delimitation of borders, and open communications.
