WhatsApp Introduces Message Editing Feature

WhatsApp users can now edit sent messages within 15 minutes after sending. The update was announced by the messaging platform's administration on its blog.

To alter a message, users need to access the menu and select the 'Edit' option. It is noted that recipients will see a 'Modified' indicator on the message, but they will not be able to view the edit history.

It is worth mentioning that just a week ago, the messenger introduced a new 'chat lock' feature, which allows users to protect personal conversations with a password or biometric data. Locked chats are stored separately and can only be accessed by entering the password or scanning biometric data. Notifications for these chats do not appear on the main screen.
