Musk Demands Approval for Every New Tesla Hire
Businessman Elon Musk, who previously expressed his willingness to pay more attention to the Tesla automotive manufacturer, has demanded that the company consult him on every decision regarding the hiring of new employees, according to CNBC.
Journalists cite a letter from Musk sent to Tesla employees via email. “Vice presidents must send me a list of their department's hiring inquiries once a week,” the letter states.
Musk also announced that no one will be able to join Tesla, even as a supplier, until he gives approval. The businessman emphasized that this new decision is motivated by a desire to understand how recruitment is conducted at the company.
At the same time, according to the television channel, some Tesla employees associate the decision with a “soft freeze of the recruitment process.”
Earlier, it was reported that Musk had traveled from the U.S. to France and arrived at the Palace of Versailles to discuss the American manufacturer's projects for electric vehicles in Europe.
