Large Fire in Geghadir; Residents also Participate in Firefighting Efforts

On May 20 at 03:10, the Kotayk Regional Crisis Management Center received a call reporting a house fire in the village of Geghadir. Firefighting teams consisting of two units from the Emergency Situations Ministry’s Yerevan and regional rescue departments were dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that the fire broke out in the roof of a barn adjacent to one of the houses on 5th Street. The fire was contained by 04:56 and fully extinguished by 07:30. Approximately 700 hay bales stored in the barn's roof, covering around 120 square meters, were burned, and an 80-square-meter section of the tin roof was damaged. Twenty residents from the village participated in the firefighting efforts.
