Gunshots in Yerevan: Official Hospitalized with Gunshot Wounds
Today, on May 19, gunshots were heard in Yerevan. At around 9:20 AM, the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received a call reporting that shots were fired in front of building 166 on Bashinjaghyan street.
This was reported by Shamshyan.com. Police officers found two cartridges fired from a firearm at the scene. They have cordoned off the area.
According to G. Shamshyan, one person has been transported to the 'Armenia' medical center with gunshot wounds. The injured individual is Koryun Arakelyan, the deputy head of the Davtashen administrative district.
Based on the incident, an investigative group has been established by E. Baloyan's decision, and a criminal case has been initiated.
