Russia Issues Arrest Warrant for ICC Prosecutor Who Ordered Putin's Arrest
The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced an arrest warrant for Karim Khan, the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC). This information is reported by РИА НОвости, citing the database of wanted persons.
“The basis for the search is that he is wanted under the relevant article of the criminal code,” the card for Khan states.
At the same time, it is not specified under which article the 53-year-old prosecutor is being sought.
It should be noted that the pre-trial chamber of the International Criminal Court, whose jurisdiction Russia does not recognize, issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Children’s Ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova on March 17.
