Borrell Proposes Additional €3.5 Billion from EU for Ukraine
The EU diplomat Josep Borrell has proposed an additional €3.5 billion from the European Union to be allocated to the fund used for military assistance to Ukraine, as reported by Reuters.
According to the publication, Borrell has requested the EU government to allocate more funds to the European Peace Facility (EPF), which has already provided approximately €4.6 billion in military assistance to Ukraine.
“We need to replenish. The essence of the European Peace Facility is universal. It was not designed for Ukraine. It is intended for any conflict that the European Union could potentially resolve,” the official stated.
