Germany to Send an Additional 11 Billion Euros to Ukraine
Berlin will send an additional 11 billion euros to the authorities in Kyiv for military assistance this year. This was stated in a joint announcement by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday in Berlin.
“In total, Germany is allocating more than 11 billion euros for 2023 and beyond, to continue military support for Ukraine,” the text reads.
Scholz had previously mentioned that since the onset of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine in February 2022, Berlin has already allocated 17 billion euros, which includes military, financial, and humanitarian assistance.
