Ministry of Defense Urges to Avoid Rush and Follow Official Communications

During border incidents and tense situations at the front line, when, unfortunately, a serviceman is wounded or killed by enemy fire, some media outlets and social media users rush to report this information to the public after receiving it by various means, often inaccurately and incorrectly.

The Ministry of Defense has repeatedly urged media outlets and social media users to wait for official communications in such situations, as the ministry publishes messages only after multiple verifications and notifying the family of the deceased serviceman as per the established protocol.

Today, as in previous days, one media outlet hastily publicized incorrect information it received, indicating that the deceased serviceman was from the Shirak region. Numerous parents of servicemen from Shirak have called the Ministry of Defense's hotline to confirm this information.

The Ministry of Defense once again urges media representatives and social media users not to rush in such situations and not to disseminate any incorrect information received, to avoid adding unnecessary stress to the parents of servicemen, and to follow official news outlets. The Ministry of Defense adequately informs the public regarding the situation at the front line.
