Erdogan: 'Grain Deal Extended for Two More Months'

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced that the grain deal has been extended for another 60 days. Neither Russia nor Ukraine has yet commented on the extension of the agreement. Additionally, Erdogan stated that Turkey has received guarantees from 'Russian partners' for unhindered exit of Turkish vessels from the ports of Mykolaiv and Olbia.

"The Black Sea grain deal has been extended for another two months," the Turkish president said, as quoted by Anadolu Agency. He emphasized that Turkey will make every effort to finalize the agreement.

Erdogan expressed gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres for their support of Turkey's initiatives related to the grain agreement. He highlighted that the extension of the deal has been made possible due to the constructive approaches of both the Russian and Ukrainian sides.
