The Cost of Drugs Sent to Armenia is 800 Million Euros, It Could Not Have Happened Without Representatives of the Authorities

Deputy Agnesa Khmoyan wrote on her Facebook page: “3 tons of cocaine have been discovered in Italy; pay attention, it was supposed to arrive in Armenia from Ecuador. The drugs were hidden in banana containers and have been confiscated. Italian media estimates the value at 800 million euros. It is clear that this enormous amount of cocaine would not have been fully distributed in Armenia, but this fact once again hints that all concerns are justified. This transport could not have taken place without the sponsorship or direct involvement of high-ranking representatives of the government or individuals closely associated with it.

I have often pointed out the increasingly terrifying statistics of illegal drug trafficking; this is a serious threat to national security and, sadly, I must note that the state has not undertaken any serious measures to halt it. Moreover, there are serious doubts that methamphetamine, which is most widely used among young people, is being produced in Armenia. Incidentally, one of the reasons for the widespread availability of this synthetic drug is its affordability for young people.”

It should be recalled that earlier, the State Revenue Committee reported that over 2.7 tons of cocaine had been seized in Italy, which was supposed to be destined for Armenia.
