Russia is closely monitoring the news regarding Turkey’s presidential and parliamentary elections. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov. According to russian.rt, he said, "Of course, we are following the news coming from Turkey these days with great interest and attention."
It is worth noting that the current leader of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is receiving 49.4% of the votes in the presidential elections, while the united opposition candidate, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, is receiving 44.96%.
