Majority of Turkish Citizens in Russia Vote for Kilicdaroglu

During the presidential elections in Turkey, more than half (54.47%) of the Turkish citizens who voted at polling stations in Russia supported the opposition's united candidate Kemal Kilicdaroglu. This is evidenced by the data from the Central Election Commission, which was released on Monday by the Anadolu Agency.

The incumbent president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, received support from 38.26% of Turkish citizens, while ATA alliance candidate Sinan Oğan garnered 4.24%. Muharrem İnce, who withdrew his candidacy, received 3.03% of the votes. The Turkish CEC considers the votes cast for him valid.

The data has been obtained from the results of 93.75% of the ballot boxes opened at polling stations in the Russian Federation. Voter participation in the presidential elections in Russia was 34.25%. A total of 4,644 people participated in the voting, with 25 votes declared invalid.

The presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey were held on Sunday, with polling stations open from 08:00 to 17:00. The voting took place under heightened security measures. Overall, more than 53 million people participated in the elections.
