If Only Russian Border Guards Were Stationed at Zvartnots, Now Armenians Are Too: Grigoryan

In order to counter any threats, a comprehensive reform of security structures is necessary. We must ensure that our institutions serve only Armenia. This was stated by Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan in an interview with "Novaya Gazeta Europe," responding to a journalist's question about the presence of Russian special services flooding Yerevan and the shared database of border services at Zvartnots Airport.

“We can’t arrange everything right now, but we will do so in the future. By the way, regarding Zvartnots: everyone remembers that until recently, only Russian border guards were stationed there, and now Armenian border guards are present as well, so there has been progress. However, sovereignty is a long road. You cannot wake up one day and be completely independent. You need to take one step, then another, then a third,” Grigoryan noted.
