Turkey's Elections to Conclude in First Round with Kilicdaroglu's Victory: ORC
According to a survey conducted by the research company ORC, Turkey's presidential elections will conclude in the first round with the victory of the opposition's united candidate, Kemal Kilicdaroglu. This information is reported by RIA Novosti.
According to the study, Kemal Kilicdaroglu is projected to receive 51.7% of the votes. The survey was conducted face-to-face from May 10 to 11 across 28 provinces in the country, with 3,920 participants involved. The statistical error margin stands at 1.3%.
The results indicate that Kilicdaroglu is expected to garner 51.7% of the votes, while the incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is forecasted to receive 44.2%, Sinan Oğan 2.8%, and Muharrem İnce, who has withdrawn his candidacy, 1.8%.
Turkey's presidential and parliamentary elections are scheduled for May 14. If no candidate secures more than 50% of the votes, a second round of presidential elections will take place on May 28.
