Serbian President Refuses to Vote Against Russia at the Council of Europe Summit

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has refused to vote against the Russian Federation regarding a declaration at the upcoming Council of Europe (CoE) summit, which will take place on May 16-17 in Reykjavik, Iceland. This was reported by РИА Новости.

“I have made a decision, as we will remain alone and under universal attacks from Europe, which would not be very wise,” said the Serbian leader.

Earlier, Belgrade had proposed to amend the upcoming CoE declaration regarding the Ukrainian crisis to include the issue of territorial integrity of all member countries, including Serbia, but the proposal was rejected for consideration.

The president also added that he will cancel his trip to Reykjavik.
