Azerbaijanis Constructing Concrete Roads and Bunkers in Armenia's Territory, Says Tatoyan
It is known that Azerbaijanis have invaded Armenia’s sovereign territory and it is evident that they have no intention of leaving. This was stated today, May 12, during a press conference by Arman Tatoyan, the head of the “Tatoyan” Foundation and former Human Rights Defender, while presenting a new special report created in collaboration with the head of the Comparative Law Center, Siranush Sahakyan.
“No matter how much they speak about delimitation and international principles, their actions speak to a completely different agenda. They are fortified in areas within Armenia’s borders. For instance, I visited the Syunik region 2-3 months ago and went back 10 days ago; the difference is clear in how they are entrenching themselves within Armenia’s sovereign territory. In the administrative area of the village of Nerkhin Hand in Syunik, they have established positions, having built a small structure a few months ago, and within a few months, they have already built large structures, infrastructure, and roads. We observed the same situation in the Jermuk region after September 13-14, where even concrete roads and bunkers were being constructed within a few months,” Tatoyan stated.
He emphasized that Azerbaijanis aim to make life impossible for the peaceful population, forcing people to leave, which is also evident in Artsakh today: “They are depriving people of water, deliberately seizing springs, and individuals are unable to use their lands and pastures. Behind every meter of land, there are people, families, human destinies standing.”
