Gas Prices in Europe Plummet to Record Lows
On Wednesday, May 10, during trading at the London ICE exchange, the price of June futures for gas based on the Dutch TTF index fell below $400 per thousand cubic meters for the first time since July 2021, reports Lenta.ru.
At its lowest point, the price reached $398.1 per thousand cubic meters. At the time of writing, the price was $405 per thousand cubic meters.
Gas prices in Europe continue to decline from their peak of $3,500 per thousand cubic meters recorded in August 2022. Since the beginning of 2023, the quotations have increased more than twofold.
