If Some People Handed Out Money, What Connection Do I Have to That? - Tsarukyan

The leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, Gagik Tsarukyan, claims that if he were guilty in the case of distributing electoral bribes, he would accept his guilt. The leader made this statement to reporters near the Anti-Corruption Court.

“If I were guilty, the statute of limitations would have long passed, and I would have accepted it; the case would have been dismissed on the grounds of the statute of limitations having expired,” Tsarukyan said during a press briefing with journalists.

According to Tsarukyan, if some individuals in certain villages handed out money, then what connection does he have to that, emphasizing that he does not accept guilt.

It is worth noting that the trial against Gagik Tsarukyan, the president of the Prosperous Armenia Party, and Sedrak Arustamyan, the director of the Multi Group concern, has commenced in the Anti-Corruption Court. They are accused of bribing voters during the 2017 parliamentary elections.
