Pashinyan Presents the Situation around the Lachin Corridor to the President of the Czech Republic

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, at the presidential residence in Prague. The two leaders discussed several issues related to the further development and strengthening of Armenian-Czech relations. In particular, the importance of cooperation in both political and economic spheres was emphasized. Cooperation in the fields of high technology, education, and tourism was considered promising.

The Czech side indicated its interest in the experience of the Tumo centers in Armenia and potential collaboration on opening a similar center in Prague. The parties exchanged views on developments occurring in the South Caucasus region.

Prime Minister Pashinyan provided details about the humanitarian crisis created in Nagorno-Karabakh due to the illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan, emphasizing the importance of a consistent response from the international community. Both sides highlighted the need to implement the decision of the International Court of Justice regarding the unblocking of the corridor.

In the context of reinforcing peace and stability, the establishment of the European Union's civilian mission in Armenia was underscored. The discussion also touched upon the Armenia-Turkey dialogue.

Prime Minister Pashinyan laid a wreath at the National Monument of Vitkov to honor the memory of the unknown soldier.
