Armenia Works on Launching Second Satellite into Space
Armenia is working towards launching its second satellite into space. This was stated by the Minister of High-Tech Industry Robert Khachatryan during a press briefing with journalists after a government meeting.
According to him, the efforts regarding the second satellite are at a preliminary stage. "We are still conducting market research and evaluating our capabilities and options. I do not think we will have the second satellite this year, but nonetheless, work is underway," Khachatryan noted.
The minister mentioned that the images obtained from the satellite serve as a source of information. They can be utilized in a variety of sectors. According to the minister, the areas of application are limitless. "We need to view them as a source of information and try to broaden the scope of their use as much as possible," Khachatryan stated, not ruling out that they could also be useful for military purposes.
