Armenian Civil Aviation Committee Has Not Received Official Notification from Turkey

The Armenian Civil Aviation Committee has not received any official notification from Turkey regarding the closure of its airspace. This was reported to Sputnik Armenia by the Civil Aviation Committee.

Today, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu stated that Turkey has closed its airspace for flights to third countries for Armenia, explaining this decision by the recent unveiling of a monument to the heroes of the "Nemesis" operation in Yerevan.

It is also noted that FlyONE Armenia issued a statement indicating that Turkish aviation authorities did not grant the company overflight permission through Turkish airspace on May 2. As a result of the situation, the company was forced to cancel its Yerevan-Paris-Yerevan flight.
