Armenia Ranks 49th in Press Freedom Index

The organization "Reporters Without Borders" has published the Press Freedom Index for 2023. According to the report, the situation is extremely bad in 31 countries, complex in 42, problematic in 55, while a good or fairly good situation is maintained in 52 countries.

Armenia has improved its position in the index, now ranking 49th, classified among countries with a "fairly good" situation. Last year, Armenia was ranked 51st.

It is worth noting that among neighboring countries, Georgia ranks 77th, Turkey 165th, Azerbaijan 151st, and Iran 177th.
