Official Data Reveals Armenia's Permanent Population Figures

According to the results of the census conducted last year in Armenia, the permanent population as of October 2022 was 2 million 928 thousand 914 people. This figure also includes those who reside in Armenia but were temporarily absent from the country for less than a year at the time of the census.

According to preliminary data published by the Statistical Committee, the total number of the present population was 2 million 638 thousand 917 people.

Data from the 2001 census indicated that Armenia's permanent population was 3 million 213 thousand 11, while the present population at that time was 3 million 2 thousand 598. In the 2011 census, the permanent population was recorded at 3 million 18 thousand 854, with the present population tallying 2 million 871 thousand 771.
