Armenia Can Submit Counterarguments to the UN Court by August 21 Regarding Azerbaijan's Objections
Armenia has the opportunity to present counterarguments to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) by August 21 regarding Azerbaijan's claims.
On April 21, Azerbaijan submitted preliminary objections related to the case. Following this, according to the court's regulations, the substantive examination of the case has been suspended until Armenia presents its counterarguments regarding Azerbaijan's objections.
Subsequently, the court will first examine the disputes between the parties before continuing with the substantive hearings of the case. This is stated in the official communication from the court.
According to a decision published by the court yesterday, this phase may last up to 4 months. Therefore, Armenia is required to submit its observations regarding Azerbaijan's objections by August 21.
