Hail Causes Extensive Damage in Martakert: Gardens, 35 Vehicles, 9 Greenhouses Affected, 9 Calves Swept Away
The hail has caused significant material damage to the residents of the Martakert region in Artsakh. This was reported in a press release by the State Emergency Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh.
"On the afternoon of April 30, a hailstorm accompanied by strong winds occurred in about 36 communities of the Martakert region. Preliminary information indicates that the hail has damaged fruit and vegetable crops, gardens, 35 vehicles, 9 greenhouses, 5 solar water heaters, 26 roofs of residential houses, a wall of 1 livestock farm collapsed, and 9 calves have been swept away by the mud flow into the ravine. The community of Chldran has suffered the most from the natural disaster. The hail that fell for nearly an hour has leveled the gardens cultivated by the villagers. Damage assessment is currently being conducted in the communities,” the statement noted.
