Zelensky Says What Ukraine’s Success Depends On

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed in an interview with Yle that Ukrainian military forces are planning a counteroffensive. He is confident that Ukraine will be able to repel Russian forces and regain control of the Crimean peninsula. While he did not specify the timing of the offensive, Yle reports that it is believed to be scheduled for late spring or early summer.

Zelensky indicated that Ukraine's success largely depends on whether the West will continue to supply weapons. “We want to save as many lives as possible, so the quantity of weapons matters,” emphasized the Ukrainian president.

In his view, it is now cheaper for other countries to support Ukraine than to increase the risks of a third world war.
