Medvedev Responds to Ban on Putin and Other Russian Officials Entering Moldova

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia, has reacted to the ban on official representatives of the Russian Federation from visiting Moldova, stating that no one intends to go there and that such a country 'no longer exists.'

‘A mysterious creature named Rechan (the Prime Minister of Moldova) said that neither the President of Russia nor Russian officials will be able to enter his country—Moldova. Well, firstly, no one is planning to go there now. Maybe later. And secondly, such a country no longer exists,’ wrote the politician on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the local government has 'sold the country to Romania,' thus, according to Medvedev, there is no point in talking to them—'let the people deal with them.'

Earlier, the Moldovan authorities announced that they would not allow Russian President Vladimir Putin entry into the country. This information was announced by Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Rechan during a broadcast on TV8.
