VIDEO: What Happened at the 'California' Nightclub

The spokesperson for the Investigative Committee, Gor Abrahamyan, has stated: ‘Due to numerous verbal inquiries from the media regarding the information published in the press, I can only say that on the night of April 23, 2023, an incident occurred at the 'California' nightclub located in the Tairan community of the Armavir region. Following materials received from the Police, the Armavir Regional Investigative Division of the RA Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case under Article 297, Part 2, Clause 1 of the RA Criminal Code.

Investigations of the crime scene have been conducted, and the memory drives of the club's surveillance cameras have been seized. Several individuals have been interrogated, and examinations have been appointed. Urgent investigative and procedural actions are being carried out to clarify the circumstances of the incident and to provide legal assessments of the actions of those involved. For this purpose, the Police have been instructed to carry out operational-search measures.
