Video: "No More Questions" - Garegin II Addresses Journalists
At the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex, Garegin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, chose not to comment on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement regarding the relationship between the Church and the government. Pashinyan had claimed that if the Church's relations with the government are not good, then they are not good with God, as every authority is derived from God.
"No more questions," stated the Catholicos.
It is noteworthy that in the National Assembly, responding to Garegin II's statements, Prime Minister Pashinyan remarked: "I am going to make a very strange and noisy statement. If the Church's relations with the Government are not good, then the Church's relations are not good with God, and this is in accordance with Christian doctrine."
