Despite Gunfire, Farmers Continue Agricultural Work: Sotk Mayor

The village of Sotk in Gegharkunik Province is currently in the active spring planting season. This was reported by Sotk Mayor Sevak Khachatryan in a conversation with NEWS.am, noting that despite periodic gunfire from the Azerbaijani side, farmers continue to engage in agricultural activities.

According to Khachatryan, farming is the only means of livelihood for the residents in this area. “Lately, there have been no gunshots heard in the village. Currently, the gunfire is not hindering agricultural work. The residents are aware that this is their land, and they continue to live here,” the mayor told the news outlet.

It should be recalled that on April 23, around 11:50 AM, a serviceman of the Armenian Armed Forces, Artak Arsen Poghosyan, received a fatal gunshot wound from enemy fire near the positions in Sotk.
