Garik Karapetyan Wins Small Gold Medal in Snatch Event

The men's snatch competition in the 102 kg weight category of the European Weightlifting Championship, held in Yerevan, has concluded. Armenia's representative, Garik Karapetyan, achieved a result of 178 kg, becoming the leader of the event. He also set a new youth European record in this lift.

In his first attempt, Karapetyan successfully lifted 172 kg. However, he failed in his second attempt to lift the scheduled 178 kg. He successfully completed his third lift, surpassing his competitors by 5 kg.
