Russian Fishing Vessel Catches Fire, Several Missing
A Russian fishing vessel has caught fire in the waters off the city of Ulsan, South Korea, resulting in four individuals being reported missing. This has been reported by Yonhap news agency, citing the Coast Guard.
There were a total of 25 people on board, all of whom are citizens of Russia. South Korean authorities have rescued 21 individuals, of whom 19 were unharmed while 2 sustained minor injuries.
The fire broke out at 00:43 local time. The vessel, displacing 769 tons and carrying 100 tons of seafood, was en route to Russia. Following the emergency signal, South Korea's Coast Guard dispatched a rescue ship. Rescue operations are still ongoing for the four missing crew members.
