Arman Avanesyan Wins Gold Medal at European Sambo Championship
In the second day of competitions at the European Sambo Championship held in Haifa, Israel, Arman Avanesyan, competing in the 98 kg weight category, won a gold medal. In the final, he overcame Belarusian representative Raman Damiu.
In the 54 kg weight category, Varsik Grigoryan was crowned runner-up, having lost to Russian athlete Margarita Barneva in the final.
