Truck Crashes into Customs Wall in Sisian, Driver in Serious Condition

On April 18, at 23:54, the Syunik Regional Crisis Management Center received a report of a traffic accident near the customs office in the city of Sisian. The Ministry of Emergency Situations’ rescue service informs that one firefighting unit has been dispatched to the scene.

It was revealed that a truck of the brand 'Shacman' (driver S.B., born in 1975) collided with the wall of the customs building. The driver was trapped in the vehicle's cabin.

Rescuers immobilized the vehicle, used specialized equipment to extract the driver from the cabin, and brought him to an ambulance. He was hospitalized at a medical center in Sisian, where doctors assessed his condition as serious.

Approximately 18 square meters of the customs wall collapsed due to the impact.
