The Four Heroes Killed in Tegh Are Buried
On April 14, the funerals of four soldiers who were killed as a result of an Azerbaijani provocation on April 11 took place in the village of Tegh, Syunik region, according to News.am.
Special Forces officer, Lieutenant Colonel Mkrtich Harutyunyan was buried at the "Yerablur" military pantheon. The Chief of Staff Edward Asryan also attended the ceremony. 34-year-old Mkrtich was from Talin city in the Aragatsotn province and had two daughters.
26-year-old Lieutenant Henrik Kocharyan was buried at the brotherly cemetery in Zaritap village of Vayots Dzor. Henrik had also participated in the 44-day war. While taking part in the battles in the Jabrayil region, he suffered a shoulder injury, recovered, and returned to the battlefield, where he sustained a second injury to his leg.
Lieutenant Arthur Sahakyan was buried at the Shirak Freedom Fighters' pantheon. 23-year-old Arthur was from Gyumri and practiced karate.
29-year-old Special Forces officer Narek Sargsyan was buried in Sevan city. Before becoming a soldier, Narek studied programming at Sevan College.
It is noteworthy that there was gunfire yesterday in the borderline village of Tegh. Azerbaijani armed forces approached the Armenian soldiers engaged in engineering work in vehicles and opened fire towards them. According to the Defense Ministry, the Armenian side did not suffer any positional losses. As a result of the shooting, there were 4 casualties and 6 injuries on the Armenian side.
