Syunik Governor on Border Situation

The situation at the border is calm, with both sides engaged in fortifying works on the lines. This was stated by Syunik Governor Robert Ghukasyan during a broadcast on public television.

"In the Tegh community, the situation is stable. The residents are heroic people. Of course, there is concern, but life is proceeding in a normal manner. There are no panic sentiments. The border is calm, and both sides are busy with fortification works on the lines. The situation in the region is also stable, and no sector of activity has ceased. The army is addressing its assigned tasks. The most frequent problem encountered is the internet reality; often, a person about whom news is being written is surprised about where that information comes from. Many people in the Tegh community have weapons. However, the Ministry of Defense decides when to arm and what to do; in this case, there was no need, which is why there was discontent among people.

There is an issue in the Tegh community regarding certain plots of land that currently cannot be utilized. All lands that will also be used by our Ministry of Defense will be compensated," Ghukasyan stated.
