Lavrov Calls Azerbaijani City of Gabala Armenian

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made a number of statements for media representatives following a meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
"It has been decided that this year the CIS Sports Capital will be Minsk, while in 2024 it will be the Armenian city of Gyumri. As for the CIS Youth Capitals... next year it will be Tashkent, in 2025 it will be the Armenian city of Gabala, and in 2026 it will be the Armenian city of Kapan," the Russian Foreign Minister stated, referring to the Azerbaijani Gabala as Armenian.

He also detailed that during the meeting, approval was given to a Russian initiative to organize Spartakiads for children with health limitations.
